Government funding for 2-year-olds

West Sussex County Council also offers free funding to some 2-year-olds. We are registered to accept children on the scheme. To find out if you are eligible, contact WSCC directly.

Working Families funding for 2 to 4-year-olds

We offer places funded through the Early Years Funded Entitlement (EYFE) for Working Families, supporting eligible families with the cost of childcare.

Depending on your child’s age and your eligibility, you may be able to access up to 15 or 30 hours of funded childcare per week during term time. From September 2025, most working families with children aged from 9 months up to school age may be entitled to up to 30 hours of funded childcare.

To be eligible, parents (or carers) must be working and earning at least the equivalent of 16 hours at the national minimum or living wage, but less than £100,000 per year each.

Funding applications are made through the government’s Childcare Choices website. If successful, you will receive an eligibility code, which must be provided to us so we can claim the funding on your behalf. Funding begins the term after your child becomes eligible, so it is important to apply before the relevant deadline.
